Haven Adult Day Program is a faith-based program grounded in Christian values and created to provide meaningful opportunities for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in our community.
Located in Troy, Haven currently operates through Saturday pop-up sessions while we work toward securing a permanent location. These structured sessions allow adults ages 18 and older to gather in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment focused on skill-building, social connection, and purposeful activities.
Haven was founded by special education teachers and other community adults who understand firsthand the need for continued support beyond the school years. After working closely with families and students, we recognized a gap in services for young adults transitioning into adulthood. Haven was created to help bridge that gap in a way that honors both ability and faith.
Our Foundation
Haven is a private-pay program supported through tuition, scholarships, and community partnerships. We are actively pursuing all required federal, state, and local approvals as we continue to grow responsibly and with integrity.
Our leadership team includes experienced educators and dedicated community members who believe adults with special needs deserve opportunities to thrive in environments that nurture both practical skills and spiritual encouragement.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower adults with special needs through structured programming, life skills development, and community engagement opportunities that promote confidence, independence, and belonging — all within a Christ-centered foundation of love, compassion, and service.
Vision
Haven Adult Day Program envisions becoming a trusted, faith-based community resource that provides structured programming, lasting relationships, and life-enriching opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities, helping them thrive socially, spiritually, and independently.
