At Haven, adults with disabilities are welcomed, valued, and encouraged to discover their abilities. Our services provide opportunities to build practical skills, develop friendships, serve the community, and grow in faith—all in a safe and supportive environment.

Our Services

Daily Living Skills - Participants practice everyday skills that encourage greater confidence and independence, including: Preparing simple meals, Cleaning and organizing, Folding laundry, Making shopping lists, Managing personal belongings, Practicing basic money skills.

Cooking and Nutrition

Our hands-on cooking activities teach participants how to prepare food safely while working together. They can practice measuring ingredients, following recipes, using kitchen tools, setting the table, and cleaning up afterward.

Job and Vocational Skills

We help participants develop skills that can prepare them for volunteer opportunities or future employment, including: Following directions, Completing tasks, Arriving on time, Working as part of a team, Organizing and stocking supplies, Practicing good workplace habits, Building confidence and responsibility.

Arts and Crafts

Creative activities give participants an opportunity to express themselves, try something new, and take pride in what they make. Projects may include painting, seasonal crafts, sewing, decorating, and creating gifts for others.

Social and Communication Skills

Haven provides a welcoming place to make friends and build meaningful relationships. Group activities help participants practice conversation, cooperation, decision-making, and respectful communication.

Faith and Fellowship

Our faith-based activities help participants learn about God’s love in an engaging and accessible way. Activities may include Bible stories, prayer, music, crafts, and group discussions.

Community Service

Everyone has something valuable to contribute. Participants work together on meaningful projects that support people in the community, such as making prayer squares, preparing care packages, creating cards, and helping with local outreach efforts.

Recreation and Special Events

Haven activities are designed to be fun, inclusive, and engaging. Participants may enjoy games, music, holiday celebrations, movement activities, community outings, and Haven Pop-Ups.
